The East Sussex coast is a run of seaside towns that each went their own way. Eastbourne has the pier, the bandstand and the Downs coming down to Beachy Head behind it. Seaford is west along the shore under its own headland. Bexhill has the De La Warr Pavilion. Hastings has the Old Town, the net shops and the fishing beach.

Eastbourne Live covers the lot. They are in four different district councils today, which is why a question about bins or planning has four possible answers, and we name the right one every time. From April 2028 that is due to change, when East Sussex outside Brighton becomes a single unitary authority. Either way our job is the same: read the published record and write down what it says, with a link to the document.
